Mark and Lindsey :: Formals
Okay, can I just say how much I loved photographing these two? Not only are they an adorable couple, but they were super fun, too. We got a ton of loving and cute photos as well as some where their personalities really shine through (like when they'd ham it up for the camera). Seriously, this was a great session.
We went ahead and got a bunch of their temple photos taken care of so that we could do it in a relaxed time frame and get all the shots we wanted without waiting on crowds or making people wait on us. This way we can focus on family photos and other detail shots on the day of their wedding.
I really love this fig tree. . .
. . . and how cute these two are together.
And how romantic is this kiss?
Once we were done at the temple, we moved the whole party over to the Museum of Art. They have a lot of variety on their little plot of land.
Mark and Lindsey both play the guitar, and it was fun hearing them play for one another.
Lindsey's mom came up with the idea of using Orange Crush as their beverage for these last couple of photos. Cute, right?
These two get married tomorrow and I'm so excited for them. I'm sure it will be a wonderfully fun day, and I'm glad that I'll get to be a part of it.

This next one is one of my all time favorites of Lindsey--

all the stories told here whispered their way through the trees
I had the opportunity of going to Kings Canyon National Park in the fall. I like to imagine that the trees remember everything that has ever happened there and retell the stories to one another.

Chrissy and Tamron
I wanted to add a couple of other photos from the Lees shoot from December... two of just Chrissy and Tamron. After all, it is the two of them together that keep their family going, plus they are just so cute together!

Aubrey and Shandon
This was a fun quick little Christmas shoot. I know I've mentioned it before, but I'm so grateful for the mild winters in Southern Utah. We were able to meet up one morning in mid-December and while there was a slight chill to the air, it felt more like fall than winter. The day was just lovely, we had a lot of fun, and we still managed to get quite a few photos taken... a win-win situation to be sure.

Lee Family, December 2011
Living in sunny Southern Utah has some serious benefits. One being that I can still shoot family portraits outside. I had so much fun with the Lee family this year. Their kiddos are all at young and energetic, so we decided to skip the idea of formal structure, and let the shoot unfold organically. My hubby/assistant did a wonderful job keeping the kids smiling and looking towards the camera as much as possible, and there were a lot of laughs and fun moments.
Here are a few of my favorite images:

Petrosino family
Unfortunately, the day that we had scheduled for this photo shoot in northern Utah was a rainy, overcast, and cold day. Fortunately though, these are some of my best friends and they are such good sports. While my husband/assistant and I were bundled in fleece and coats, Bill and Mariah braved the elements with cute outfits and smiles.
I love when personalities shine through, and I have to say that I feel that really happened on this shoot. I already knew how much they love one another and how fun they are to be around, but I think that it really shows in the photos.
I also loved that Mariah requested the following photograph of their shoes. While Bill left the house dressed up for the photo shoot when he left the house that morning, he decided to wear his comfortable shoes to the office and forgot to bring his nice shoes...
